what to expect
Microneedling & Microdermabrasion
Before your treatment
Our specialists will consult with you and design a custom treatment package based on your hair color and skin type and select from a range of lasers to ensure the best match. The total duration of the appointment is around 1 hour which includes check in and receiving your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
There is rarely any discomfort and you will most likely feel a “rubber band” snap sensation during the treatment. This sensation is due to the laser firing in response to the existence of hair follicles under your skin. The laser used in hair removal targets the melanin (color) in the hair follicle, damaging the follicle and removing the hair.
After treatment
You may experience some redness immediately after the treatment but it will quickly subside. There is no downtime and you will be able to leave the treatment and move on with your day. Because of the cyclical nature of hair growth, a series of treatments over several months deliver the best results.
Skin Tightening
Before treatment
Our specialists will consult with you and design a treatment schedule that fits your needs. A series of 2-3 treatments spaced one month apart is typical for most patients. You should schedule around 1 hour to check in and receive your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
The SkinTyte™ light energy is delivered in a sequence of rapid, gentle pulses. There is rarely any discomfort associated with this procedure and the series of pulses will be repeated over the treatment area to ensure best results.
After treatment
There may be some mild redness immediately after treatment. There is no downtime and you can apply makeup immediately after the procedure. The full results may take a little longer to appear as the collagen foundation of your skin is rebuilt and strengthened.
Chemical Peel
Before treatment
Before receiving either the Chemical Peel Treatment you will prepare your skin by using the products recommended during your consultation. You must discontinue the use of any retinol products (RetinA®, Tretinoic acid, etc) or medical exfoliants for at least one week prior to the procedure. If taking Accutane orally, you must stop taking it one year prior to any procedures. Avoid prolonged sun-exposure or tanning for 10 days prior to your procedure.
During treatment
Due to the rapid exfoliation, you may experience mild itching and irritation.
After treatment
Sun exposure should be avoided for two weeks following any type of exfoliation. You may experience minor peeling depending on the customization of the procedure, however, there is usually no downtime associated with the BioMedic MicroPeel®.
Laser Skin Resurfacing & Fractional Resurfacing
Before treatment
Our specialists will consult with you to assess the condition of your skin and educate you about the treatment. You should schedule around 1 hour to check in and receive your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
The CONTOUR™ laser will be used to remove thin layers of skin using a laser delivered through a computer controlled device which scans the area of skin being treated. You may hear a snapping or popping noise as the laser gently removes the outer skin cells. There may be a small amount of discomfort associated with this treatment and options for managing this will be discussed with you, in detail, before your treatment begins.
After treatment
It will take a few days to replace the outer layer of your skin. There will be some redness but it will subside after a few days. There may be a slight, temporary change to your skin color for up to a few weeks. Aftercare procedure will include the use of some topical skin care products and careful protection from the sun.
Photodynamic Therapy
Before treatment
Our specialists will meet with you to assess your particular condition and design a treatment schedule that meets your needs and desired results. You should schedule around 1 hour to check in and receive your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
There is no discomfort associated with this treatment. You may experience a gentle warming sensation.
After treatment
There is no downtime and you can return to your normal routine immediately after treatment. After the initial round to treatments your skin will be remarkably improved and you should schedule a follow up treatment on an ongoing basis to ensure that the condition does not recur. The procedure should be repeated at least 4 times and spaced 2 weeks apart. Treatment of acne scars using this or any other skin laser may be repeated as many times as it takes to achieve the desired results but noticeable fading of scars will be apparent after 2-4 treatments. These treatments should be spaced 4 weeks apart.
Photofacial | Photo Rejuvination
Before treatment
Your treatment will be tailored to match your particular skin condition and desired results. Most patients require 2-5 treatments at 2-4 week intervals. You should schedule around 1 hour to check in and receive your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
This is a non-invasive, gentle procedure. Any discomfort is rare and there is no need for topical anesthesia. You may briefly feel a rubber band snap or warm sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas.
After treatment
There is absolutely no downtime associated with this treatment. Makeup may be applied immediately after the treatment to cover any slight redness that may occur. Dark lesions may darken before fading and flaking to reveal clear, new skin.
Laser Acne Treatment
Before treatment

During treatment
There is no discomfort associated with this treatment. You may experience a gentle warming sensation.

Spider Vein Treatment
Before treatment
One of our specialist consultants will meet with you to determine if you are a good candidate for Laser Spider Vein Treatment. Unfortunately, laser therapy is not effective for larger spider vein removal. If you have a combination of large and small spider veins, you should consider sclerotherapy for the larger ones first, followed later by laser treatment for the smaller ones.
During treatment
The laser is applied to the skin over your spider veins. Laser energy causes your spider veins to coagulate and shrink. Usually, there is no need for anesthesia; you will experience a feeling similar to a small rubber band snapping against your skin.
After treatment
Over 2–6 weeks, your spider veins usually fade. After each treatment, you will see a 70–80% improvement in the appearance of face spider veins and 30–40% improvement in leg spider veins. An average of three treatments will be required at three-month intervals. The treatment may cause minor bruising which usually improves within a week, but often, recovery is immediate. You may apply make-up immediately after the treatment.
MicroLaserPeel®
Before treatment
Our specialists will meet with you to assess your particular condition and design a treatment schedule that meets your needs and desired results. Typically the procedure is repeated 2-4 times and spaced 6-8 weeks apart. More peels may be done to achieve the desired results. You should schedule around 1 hour to check-in and receive your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
This is a partial to full epidermal peel and is performed with a topical anesthetic. You will receive a detailed explanation of what to expect prior to your treatment
After treatment
This treatment is nicknamed the “Lunchtime Laser Peel” because there is no downtime and only mild redness immediately after treatment. There is some sloughing on the second day as the new, younger skin emerges and this is easily covered with makeup.
Laser Treatments for Age and sun spots

During treatment
Sciton® and Alma® lasers are used to deliver your treatment. These have been extensively researched and are the most advanced way to change the appearance of your skin. The procedure doesn’t remove any skin and works on all skin types. It can be used on the face, hands, neck and chest. There is almost no discomfort and most people describe the treatment as a tingling sensation.
After treatment
Laser Skin Rejuvenation is a series of non invasive treatments that create minimum discomfort and involve no downtime. You will be able to go about your day immediately after the treatment. Any redness may be addressed with makeup and will be short lived
ThermaScan™ & ClearScan™ Laser treatment
Before treatment
Ours specialists will consult with you to determine your particular skin condition and needs. A single treatment is often sufficient but additional treatment may be recommended depending on your response. You should schedule around 1 hour to check in and receive your treatment in our comfortable spa facility.
During treatment
There should be little or no discomfort and no need for anesthesia during the treatment. You may briefly feel a warm sensation as the laser pulses are absorbed in the unwanted vessels, heating and destroying them.
After treatment
Your skin will have a pink or red color immediately after the treatment and this will resolve over time. You will need to avoid direct sunlight and use sun block when outside.

Before
Our injection specialists will consult with you to select a procedure and design a treatment schedule that fits your needs. Treatments are quick and easy and you should allow about 1 hour at our comfortable spa facility.
During
Fine needles are used to administer the injections to the area being treated. There is rarely any discomfort associated with these treatments.
After
You can return to work with no recovery time, as there are virtually no side effects. In the case of Botox, the results take 4-7 days to become fully visible and last from four to six months. Results for the other treatments are apparent immediately.
General Questions
How do injectables work?
When we frown, blink, or squint, small muscles contract which causes the skin tissue to fold and form small “dynamic” wrinkles. These wrinkles become more apparent as we get older and the skin becomes thinner and less supple. These are a purified and diluted form of a protein that significantly reduces the nerve impulses to the small facial muscles, allowing them to relax and the dynamic wrinkles to be less apparent.
Can Injections be combined with other treatments?
In fact using these types of products with procedures such as laser procedures, microdermabrasion, photodynamic therapy with Levulan and dermal fillers such as Restylane® offer synergistic benefits for the absolute best results per a client’s needs.
How long do the effects last?
Most people find that the effects begin from two days to two weeks following the procedure. The effects can last from 3 to 6 months. Most clients will receive 3 to 4 procedures per year.
Are there any common side effects?
Adverse reactions are rare. The most common is slight bruising at the injection site which resolves in a day or two with proper aftercare. Occasionally these products may cause a facial asymmetry during expression or a drooping eyelid. This is very uncommon and will typically resolve in a few weeks.
Do injections hurt?
Injections are performed with a very fine needle and cause very little pain with most patients. Placing ice on the skin before and after the injection makes this almost pain free for even the most sensitive patient.
What do I do before a treatment?
One week prior to your procedure avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDs, St. John’s Wort, fish oil and high doses of Vitamin E supplements. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site. If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another recurrence. Ask us about medications that may minimize such a recurrence.
What do I do after treatment?
Immediately after the procedure the most common reported side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within two to three days. Cold compresses may be used immediately after procedure to reduce swelling. If the inconvenience of post-procedure symptoms continues beyond two to three days or if other reactions occur, please contact NEOS Med Spa.
Avoid touching the treated area within six hours following your procedure. After that, you can safely use a gentle cleanser with water.
Avoid laying down for up to four hours.
Avoid exercise and alcohol for six hours.
Until the initial redness and swelling have resolved, avoid exposure of the treated area to intense heat (sunlamp or sunbathing).
